This morning has been inaugurated the Summer University of the Party of the European Left, taking place in the Czech town of Litoměřice this year.
The EL Vice President Maite Mola greeted this meeting place as an opportunity to continue working for the unity of the left in Europe. She spoke about the victory of Syriza as of particular importance for all, as well as on the huge demonstrations that are taking place in other European countries and the challenge to be involved now in continue protests during this year with elections in Portugal, Spain, Austria and France.
Walter Baier, on behalf of Transform!, welcomed the start of the university calling the construction of an European Front Against Austerity in a context divided between the forces of those who want to keep on with the policy of austerity and the Greeks who said No to the social cuts. "This people who has been caught in the middle of this struggle" against the Troika "and needs our solidarity."
