The autopsy reports state that he died as a result of severe beating by Israeli soldiers and inhaling large amounts of teargas. Three international forensic experts, one from Israel and two from Jordan, had been present at the post mortem and agreed with its findings. Together with the video footage of the demonstration this points very strongly to the responsibility of the Israeli military forces for the death of Abu Ein. This brutal reaction of the Israeli security forces to a peaceful demonstration is absolutely unacceptable.  The European Left asserts its solidarity with people in Palestine who resist the occupation in a nonviolent way - like Abu Ein did on countless occasions. We ask the governments in Europe and the United Nations to condemn this brutal death and to step up their efforts to make Israel end the occupation.
