Berlusconi's come back and the resignation of Mario Monti, the Goldman Sachs' henchman who governs since November 2011 without being elected, reshuffles the cards of Italian politics. After a year in a "special regime", the Italians will finally vote in February.

Forces which supported the establishment of a "technical government", which voted austerity measures,, are now trying to clean up their tarnished reputation ; as the rejection of Monti's policy is strong in the Italian people.

These strategies concern the markets and the EU, repeating pressures, requiring parties to implement "the country commitments" ie labor reforms, privatizations, etc..

Fighting for social justice and popular sovereignty have never been linked so closely. The Party of the European Left calls Italian citizens to give their support to the forces that are working for the creation of the “fourth pole”, to the alternative to austerity and defense of popular sovereignty, to liberate Italy and Europe from neoliberalism and the dictatorship of the market.
