Attacks of Paris: "We feel the shock in all Europe" (EL)

The Party of the European Left (EL) expresses its profound emotion and solidarity with the French people who are being hit by the terrorist barbarity for the second time this year. To this hour we are counting 127 dead and 200 injured.

A new phase of horror has been paved. The multiple and coordinated attacks in Paris and St. Denis targeted very well frequented places of life and culture. They targeted the whole French society and maximum number of victims without any distinction. It's clearly a warlike escalation on which we have to take measures. Besides taking up measures of urgency, nobody can ignore the deep national and international causes of such a crime.

In all Europe we are feeling the shock. The whole EL-leadership, gathered in Madrid, addresses it's sincere condolences to the families of the victims and their close ones. We are sending a message of encouragement to the personnel of the police service, the hospitals, to all agents mobilized in rescue as well as in securing of the people.

We salute gestures of solidarity of the Parisians who had opened their doors offering protection to their fellow citizens.

The French people are bleeding, but they standing. We are on their side.
