In Italy, hundreds of thousands of people demonstrated last weekend against the so-called “job  act” of the Renzi government,  in defense of workers' rights and against its policies of austerity.  All across the continent neoliberal  model continue to jeopardize the  labor market. The European Left Party expresses its full support to the struggle of the Italian workers, asking to the Italian government to put an end to the economic measures that are only increasing unemployment and insecurity, and at the same time are only saving  the profits of the banks and big business. We want also  express our condemnation of the brutal repression against the workers of the Terni steelwork, fighting to defend their jobs. We express to them our full solidarity. We must stop  unemployment across Europe. To do this we need to build a political alternative to the ruling bloc and its  austerity and anti-popular policies, and this is the aim of  the Party of the European Left .
