Our Pain And Our Anger Is Very Big!
In Turkey’s village Soma, hundreds of workers lost their lives in the mine explosion. Hundreds of them are still in the mine. Especially to the families of the workers, we extend our condolences to all of Turkey’s laborers. We wish a speedy recovery to the injured. There is still hope that our brothers/sisters in the mine are going to be saved.

Those who are responsible for this massacre are the ones who described the deaths in mines, factories, shipyards as  “destiny”.

Despite the deaths and injuries in Zonguldak, Bursa, Soma and in many other mines, the AKP government has not taken any measures.

More than 15 days ago, the main opposition party- CHP’s- investigative motion, which was about Soma Mine, was rejected by the votes of the AKP deputies.

We know the killer!

The responsible is obvious. That who rejects investigative motions in the Assembly Hall by saying “you cannot portray AKP as anti-laborer” and who tries to cover up by saying “fate” after each death is the murderer of hundreds of workers.

Greedy exploiters must give an account!

AKP has paved the way for a wild exploitation with privatization and deregulation in all areas for more profits to the greedy capitalists. Public enterprises were privatized one by one. All the social and economic rights of the workers have been taken from them. Safe and healthy working conditions were removed. For getting more profit by exploitation in the privatized mines, a handful of exploiters were enriched over workers’ labor and blood.

What needs to be done is clear; AKP has to resign without waiting one more second!

To get rid of this responsibility, AKP is still ‘working’.  No concise information has been given yet – not even to the families of workers.  In front of workers who has become pitch-black by mine and fire, Ministers standing with white shirt and black suit still does not do anything other than just manipulation. What needs to be done is clear; AKP has to resign without waiting one more second!

AKP, who has dragged the country into a catastrophe and converted every part of the country into workers, should go away. However, we know they will not move. So, with calling AKP to account for having this responsibility, to send them back where they belong, we declare once more that we will fight with all our strength.

All Privatizations Have To Be Cancelled Immediately!

All privatizations should be cancelled immediately; all the mines that are in the privatization schedule should be socialized and left to the workers’ self-management. In order to audit the mines, there has to be an independent committee in which representative of labor and professional organizations and scientists takes part. Especially Soma Mineral Holding's chairman and managers and all the responsible should be prosecuted.

The Government has to resign immediately.
