Angela Merkel visits Greece today to "say to the Greeks that she does not intend their exit out of the euro zone." This is a gesture that expresses a lot about her vision of the relations among the member countries of the EU and the dominant position occupied by Germany.
While for months she supervises the bleeding of the Greek people to feed the vampires of finance, this visit and her so called compassion constitutes a provocation.
The Greek government has decided to ban the demonstration and to deploy 7000 men of the riot police, 2 helicopters and 4 water cannons. Taking into consideration the Chancellor's provocations as well as the repression devices already in place, it is questionable if the goal is truly "public safety and non-disturbance of the socioeconomic function of the city".
Trying to stifle a resistance movement and curbing the Greek society is a suicidal strategy. It is good that Greek forces react and decide to get into action. It is a matter of dignity.
