Go to newsThe European Left Party supports the indefinite strike in the mining sector.
After a long march to demand their rights, tonight Spanish miners will be received by the people of Madrid and by people coming from all over Spain. The European Left Party supports the so-called "Black March" against the Spanish government's decision, to give back to the miners.
The reason for the "Black March" is intended to respect the agreement signed last year between the Ministry of Industry and mining unions, the signing of this agreement had some aid allocated to the year 2018.
As before, the Spanish miners put in check the Spanish government and mobilize for their rights by example and showing the way the rest of the working class.
With the failure of the Government would lead to closure of most of mining production, thus increasing unemployment, increasing poverty areas (Asturias-Leon and Aragon) the absence of any alternative plan to replace the work of mining.
All the way, the miners have the backing and support of citizens who support their just demands.
The European Left Party welcomes this support received and shows solidarity with the miners who are welcomed into a warm night of struggle by the people of Madrid.
With our support and commitment explicit call to unity of workers and all citizens to participate and support this struggle to defend their rights.
