The Party of the European Left is indignant at the developments occurring in Moldova. Unfortunately, it is necessary to note that the situation degrades every day: both as concerns the functioning of democratic institutions and in the social and economic areas.
Moldovan people, children, old and young people, other vulnerable strata of population are purposefully deprived of social gains of the recent past. In fact, under cover of the next programs of optimization and reforms, the ruling Alliance in Moldova obsequiously sticks to and implements the requirements of the Memorandum it signed with the IMF after coming to power. Once again, by an example of Moldova the international financial structures through their pocket Governments shift struggle against crisis to shoulders of those people who most of all have suffered and still suffer from it.
The Party of the European Left expresses the solidarity and support to all Moldovan people in its struggle against usurpers and the anti-popular regime. Democracy, the genuine power of the people, should triumph. The struggle against the today’s pseudo-democratic regime in Moldova is a common struggle for all the leftist political forces all over Europe.
Stay united! It ’s time to be resolute!
We are with you!
