The Executive Board of the European Left and additionally delegations from member and observer parties of the EL participated in the yearly commemoration of Rosa Luxemburg and Karl Liebknecht in Berlin. EL chairpersons Lothar Bisky and Graziella Mascia who laid down a wreath in front the memorial were accompanied by other left wing politicians in Europe, e.g., Francis Wurtz, President of the GUE/NGL and the chairpersons Franco Frutos Pacos, Communist Party of Spain, Miguel Portas, Co-chair of the Left Bloc in Portugal, Maurice Magis, Communist Party of Belgium (Wallonie).
