During the Summit of Heads of State of the EU in Lisbon, the European Left will participate in a mass demonstration   on the 18th of October (watch live here starting at 2.30 p.m.) in the Portuguese capital to protest against neo-liberal policies that are increasing problems of exploitation and inequity throughout Europe.

The European Left Executive Board and the Council of Chaipersons will meet in Lisbon the following days on the 19-21 October.

The main themes are: I) Preparations towards the 2nd EL Congress, II) The "new" EU reform treaty etc.

On Friday the 19th evening there will be a public event : " About the Party of the European Left and its cooperation with political and social forces" in "Faculdade de Ciencias de Lisboa" (watch live here starting at 9.30 p.m.)
