We, the participants from 10 European countries attending the Europen Left  feminist seminar on “50 years European Union and women’s right in the ‘old’ and enlarged EU” criticize the pressure the EU Commission exerts on the ACP countries to conclude the Economic Partnership Agreements EPAs by the end of this year.

We support the international action and protest day, April 19, in front of the German Embassies, calling upon the German government to use its influence to stop the EU pushing harmfull free trade deals on ACP countries.  Germany holds the EU Presidency until the end of June and hence, has significant influence over EU trade negotiations.
